Advantage xPO has a direct hire opportunity for a Commercial Maintenance Technician in Decatur, GA. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay rate: $25 - $28/hr.
This position is sign on bonus eligible! (offered by our client)

Commercial Maintenance Technician essential tasks:

  • Completes preventative maintenance and repairs according to work orders, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
  • Conducts routine painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs to maintain facilities in like-new condition.
  • Handles minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, and ballasts, within state law requirements.
  • Utilizes technology to manage work orders, submit reports, and track expenses efficiently.
  • Communicates effectively with clients and internal teams, fostering customer satisfaction and a positive climate.
  • Participates in safety training, provides project estimates, and completes additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, degree, certification, or equivalent experience in trades such as Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing preferred.
  • Two to five years of mechanical experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related building trades required; background in landscape, janitorial, or construction services highly preferred.
  • Must have applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, write reports, and effectively communicate in small group settings.
  • Proficient in using handheld devices, business systems, and software such as Microsoft Office for work orders and documentation.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards, building codes, and safety policies while performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks across mechanical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
