Overall Purpose
This position may be up to 12 weeks in length and will work under the direct supervision of a department manager or designee. This position designs, develops, documents, tests, debugs, and maintains software product applications. Serves as quality engineer on development projects. Perform test strategy, test design, test planning, automation of various test frameworks and tools.


Essential Functions

  • Directly contribute to the development of automated and manual component, system integration (E2E), regression, backward compatibility, and performance tests through continuous integration.
  • Execute automated and manual test suites and ensure overall system quality prior to production release.
  • Document results after executions with appropriate screenshots and evidence.
  • Report bugs and issues to development teams and manage defects through to successful resolution.
  • Create software test artifacts including test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.

  • Actively participate in root cause analysis on failures.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve test coverage for EWS applications.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college program with course work related to the internship.
  • Working knowledge of software development and monitoring tools (GitLab, GIT, Eclipse/Android Studio/X-Code, Bamboo, Harness, Splunk, AppDynamics).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US National.
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • AWS or Cloud experience
  • Agile/Lean methodologies experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
