Patricia Schroeder is the Dean of Alverno College’s Joanne McGrath School of Nursing. She has been consulting and lecturing on health care improvement and patient safety since 1982. Schroeder has presented numerous workshops and served as a keynote speaker around the country, and around the world. Some of the topics covered include leadership, health care quality improvement and patient safety, and innovation in patient care. She published six texts on health care quality, and served as editor of the Journal of Nursing Care Quality for 19 years.
Schroeder was honored by the Business Journal as one of 2012’s Women of Influence, is on the executive committe of Administrators for Nursing Education in Wisconsin, and helped create and co-chair the Southeastern Wisconsin Nursing Alliance, whose purpose is to bring nurse leaders from this region together, from both education and practice backgrounds.
